Create and execute strategy to grow Finisar revenues in China. Lead, direct and manage a sales team of Manufacturer’s Reps and Distributors as needed.
Primary responsibilities: - Create and execute a sales revenue growth strategy - Build & Enhance Finisar brand name in China and make strong customer relationships - Ensure product roadmaps are aligned with customers and end-users - Manage day-to-day business: forecast, backlog, shipments, RMAs, credit issues and inventory to ensure FNSR meets the customer’s requirements - Sales Development – Identifies, pursues and tracks new opportunities. This includes EMT, Data Center, Carrier, VAR and System Integrator type opportunities. - Leads, trains, coaches, supports and tracks performance of Sales Reps and Distributors - Ensures forecast is entered on time and verified through multiple customer sources - With FNSR legal, negotiates NDA, 3PL and supply contracts - Price/share negotiations - Available, accessible and promptly responsive to requests - Expedites resolution of Quality Issues - Builds relationships at all levels - Willing to travel at least 40% of time both domestically and internationally - Documents all customer interactions with a summary and action items timely - Project manage the Finisar product customization process: mini-PIP process
- BS technical degree, EE preferred or equivalent with an MBA degree - At least 5 years of successful sales experience with account management and territory management - Background in telecommunication / optical networking / fiber optics/ networking - Background in working with Data Centers customers, System Integrators, VARs will be a plus - MBA is a plus - Excellent skills at organization, prioritization, attention to detail and follow-through - Excellent skills in verbal and written communications - Understands and excels at the critical aspects of Key Account Management - Professional image, personable, team player, always treats everyone with respect and dignity - Prior sales to Telco’s, Cable companies, Data Centers or worked in a System Integration company a plus - Have strong team cooperation skills and can work under pressure - Be enthusiastic, a self-starter and have a strong sense of responsibility and initiative to work
