Position Overview: Molex, LLC is a leading provider of optical communication components, intelligent modules and subsystems. We are currently looking for a talented Sales Engineer to join our team. This position will at times cover multiple locations both domestically and internationally.
Work with customers, manufacturer’s representatives, system integrators, VARs for successful sales conversion
Identify and pursue potential business opportunities then convert them into profitable revenue
Travel to various locations, collaborate with engineers to perform on-site technical support, debugging, trouble shooting, integration, and training services
Maintain accurate records of target accounts, opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts and correspondence
Maintain professional business relationships within target accounts
Provide status of both ongoing and future projects
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical degree
5+ years experience in sales, FAE or product management role
Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering
10+ years sales/FAE experience in Telecom/Datacom/Optical Networking/Fiber Optics industry
Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrate successful sales/FAE track record with excellent business acumen
Hands-on skills on installing, maintaining, trouble shooting, debugging and repairing optical transceivers, fiber optics, subsystems and network elements in the field
Excellent skills at organization, prioritization, attention to detail and follow-through
Excellent skills in verbal and written communications
Understand and excel at the critical aspects of key and strategic account management
Professional image, personable, team player, always treats everyone with respect and dignity
Have strong team cooperation skills and can work under pressure
Background in Telecom/Datacom/Optical Networking/Fiber Optics or any relevant field
Background in working with carrier customers, distributors, system integrators and VARs a plus
Prior sales/FAE to Telco’s, Cable companies, Data Centers or worked in a System Integration company a plus
