We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic, innovative and flexible individual who can:
Aid in the production release of Optical products such as RF and Digital transmitters and receivers, optical amplifiers and network subsystems for DWDM transport etc.
Responsible for the Optical related engineering tasks and work with integrated cross functional team to achieve targeted product releases for ATX Access line of business.
Review RFI and RFP requests from customers with the R&D, CTO’s office and d Sales and PLM teams to prepare proposals and RFP responses periodically.

We are looking for engineers who have:
BS in Electrical engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 5 years of related industry experience in CATV/Telecom/Optics Industry
Track record of successfully leading & delivering complex Optical projects on time.
Excellent System level experience on Fiber optics, Optical networking, Optical modulation, and data networking architectures.
Previous design experience using DWDM/CWDM lasers, EDFA’s, Photo detectors, and system level optical design trade-offs
Experience dealing with physical layer optical transmission systems optical polarization effects, single and multi-wavelength link impairments and link power/OSNR budget estimation, is required.
Candidate must have prior work experience with lasers, Mach-Zehnder modulators, optical amplifiers as well as high speed and burst-mode receivers,
Ability to work with external vendors to identify, specify and characterize optical components and test and validate their performance in the lab.
Optical component and system level reliability and handling experience is required.
Experience with optical lab equipment - Power meters, OSAs, Detectors, high speed oscilloscopes, electrical spectrum and signal analyzers is needed, etc.
Prior experience dealing with cross-functional engineering and support teams very beneficial.
Looking for a great team player with excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
Self-motivated and riven individuals needing minimum supervision will have excellent opportunities to advance.
Some Knowledge of board development concepts, release and program management.
