Understand the requirements, architect a solution targeting an FPGA against those requirements and implement that solution in an FPGA.
Lead a small team of designers in generating the FPGA design solutions.
Simulate the FPGA to verify performance, then integrate and test the FPGA on the circuit card assembly.
Full life cycle development and integration of VHDL into different families of FPGAs.
4+ years experience with Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree OR 2+ years with Graduate Degree
4+ years working knowledge of VHDL, the FPGA design process, and the tools used to generate the FPGA designs.
An active TS/SCI security clearance
Preferred Additional Skills:
Understanding of version control best practices and tools (subversion, git, etc) to closely track changes to the FPGA baseline.
Experience building FPGAs with difficult timing and/or difficult routing constraints
Thorough understanding of the development of FPGA requirements and specifications.
Experience with high speed memory interfaces and/or high speed SERDES interfaces
Experience with network interfaces and protocols is desired.
Experience with Analog to Digital (AD) and Digital to Analog (DA) interfaces.
Self-motivated individual with the ability to work and communicate effectively within a development group.
