Designs and establishes configuration management documentation.
Analyzes proposed product design changes to determine the effect on the overall system.
Authorizes the release of drawings and changes specified by Program or Engineering Management.
Provides advice and guidance on methods, procedures and requirements to individuals responsible for the creation of documentation.
Plans and implements methods to improve response.
Acts as liaison between management and other functional groups to resolve issues regarding configuration analysis documentation.
Performs audits to verify compliance with contract requirements.
Implementation of hardware configuration management principles in an Agile development environment.
Use of configuration management tools for issue tracking and version control.
Administer existing configuration management toolsets, to include Agile Product Data Management, Rational ClearQuest and JIRA.
Supports program audits including functional and physical configuration audits.
Prepare Configuration Management cost plans for task orders and proposals.
Bachelor's Degree and 0-2+ years of experience relevant work experience OR
Associates' Degree and 4+ years of relevant work experience or equivalent experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, such as Agile PDM.
Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills demonstrated by related work experience.
Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint knowledge.
Knowledge of EIA-649B and MIL-STD-973 Configuration Management Principles as they apply to both Hardware and Software.
Understanding of DoD-STD-963 "Data Item Descriptions" and DD Form 1423's including formatting requirements included therein.
Understanding of DoD 50101.12-M Procedures for the Acquisition and Management of Technical Data.
Reading and understanding Contract Statements of Work and Performance Work Statements.
Experience in a fast-paced continuous change integration environment.
Ability to work individually and as a team member to achieve team objectives.
Expert time management ability and sense of urgency in meeting critical deadlines.
Willing to work overtime and/or outside of normal business hours as needed to meet deadlines.
