Raith America, Inc. operates two New York locations, Islandia and Troy, yet most of our staff are located outside New York and close to our customers. Our growing customer community motivates our full-time position for Applications Engineer.

Raith is seeking a versatile Applications Engineer with industry experience at its International Applications Center in Troy, New York.

Your responsibilities

• Working together with Raith’s talented team of experts, you will join the global applications team in generating results that positively verify the value proposition of our solutions for prospective customers, in a broad range of fields like quantum computing, compound semicon-ductor, and laser device production, etc.
• Support sales and engineering with application projects, system demos, and training as an expert for electron beam lithography and metrology.
• Be the tool owner responsible for all aspects of the operation of the state-of-the-art CHIPSCANNER150 Two-HS system at the International Applications Center.
• Advance the development of new workflows, features, and products.
• Provide applications support to customers in the Americas.
• Represent Raith America in the nanofabrication community through publications and presentations at conferences, customer events, workshops, etc.
• Support Raith sales and customer support colleagues who share our mission in growing and supporting the Raith installation base.

• Raith’s Applications Engineer will have a passion for nanoscale instrumentation and fabrication processes, experience with lithography in a manufacturing environment, and a background in the physical sciences or engineering.
• Exceptional team working and communications skills are critically important, as well as being results-driven.
• Outstanding problem-solving skills and experience with lithography fabrication processes, metrology, and results qualification.
• 5 or more years hands-on experience with tool/instrument management and processing product in FAB-type environments.
• Ph.D. in physics, materials science, electrical engineering, or related field
• Preferred: Experience with Electron Beam Lithography, DUV Opti-cal Lithography, metrology and characterization with CDSEM, process control methodologies, SPC, and Design of Experiment.
• Ability to do some travel in the Americas and to Europe.
